Rosemary BowdenCounselling and Psychotherapy in Ashtead, Surrey
Frequently Asked Questions
- Is there an age limit?
I work with adults - usually 18 years and over - there is no upper age limit
- Do you have full disabled access?
Sadly I do not but I will do my best to accommodate anyone who has mobility difficulties.
- Do you have an equal opportunities policy?
I work with any one regardless of class, gender, race or sexuality. I am interested in cultural issues and difference.
- How long will I need to come for?
Each person is different. After an initial meeting we can decide what might seem best for you. You may decide that therapy at this time is not for you. If you decide to continue we can discuss a fixed number of sessions or an open-ended arrangement. This can be reviewed at any time. It may take several sessions before it seems that any help has taken place, or whether further issues have surfaced that need exploring. Some people come for a few sesions, others stay for several months or longer.
- How often will I need to see you?
That depends on what your needs are. I see people once, twice or three times a week. Mostly I see people for 50mins once a week.
- What will it cost?
At present my fee is £45 for each 50 minute session. However, I am willing to to make concessions for those on a low income or if circumstances should change.
- Perhaps most importantly, does it work?
Counselling or psychotherapy is not always easy. It does call for committment over a period of time. It may take a while before a sense of trust develops between us. As we think together about what you tell me about yourself a greater sense of understanding begins to emerge that lays the foundation for change.
